Quality Manager

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead and maintain our ASME Quality Control System in accordance with ASME Section VIII, Division 1 and Section IX requirements.
This role serves as the primary authority for Code compliance and works closely with Production, Welding, and Forming teams to ensure products are manufactured safely, accurately, and in full compliance with customer and regulatory standards. The Quality Manager maintains a strong presence on the production floor and plays a critical role in driving quality execution across the facility.
Key Responsibilities
· Maintain and administer the ASME Quality Control Manual.
· Ensure compliance with ASME Section VIII Division 1 and Section IX.
· Serve as primary liaison with the Authorized Inspector (AI).
· Coordinate required Code hold points and inspections.
· Lead ASME Joint Reviews and surveillance audits.
· Maintain WPS, PQR, and welder qualification records.
· Ensure welder continuity and welding program compliance.
· Oversee weld repair documentation and Code adherence.
· Coordinate and review NDE activities and reports.
· Ensure full material traceability from receipt through shipment.
· Oversee compilation and control of ASME Data Books.
· Lead root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives.
· Track quality metrics impacting on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.
· Develop and mentor Quality personnel.
· Partner with Production leadership to proactively prevent nonconformances.
Qualifications
· Minimum 5–7 years of experience in an ASME Section VIII manufacturing environment.
· Direct experience working with Authorized Inspectors.
· Strong working knowledge of ASME Section VIII Div. 1 and Section IX.
· Experience managing welding qualifications and documentation systems.
· Leadership experience in a heavy manufacturing setting.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift
- Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs, with or without assistance
- Ability to safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and wear required PPE
